Forget Fonzie jumping a shark on Happy Days, these images come Smyrna Beach, Florida where Kem McNair snapped shots of a shark jumping out of the water near surfers.
These images are so astounding some don’t believe they are real.
Surfer John Del Vecchio, says “It seems that would be a fake picture. Because I don’t think a shark like that would have enough power to thrust itself out.”
However, fellow surfers Parker and Sam disagree with Vecchio and believe the photo to be real.
“It’s real,” says Parker.
“Real,” agreed Sam, “Seen ‘em all the time.”
“It’s a very believable photograph,” agreed Chris Johnson, a local biologist with the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach.
“Black-tips and Spinner sharks always jump out of the waves,” says Johnson, “I see them maybe two or three times a day sometimes.”
